Aspire Build was founded by Phil Murphy in 2017, following years of hands on experience across residential construction and detailed building work. Originally from Wellington, Phil grew up around practical projects and developed an early understanding of how homes should be constructed, repaired and finished properly.
Before establishing Aspire Build, Phil worked on architectural homes, new builds and renovation projects, gaining experience across structural work, interior improvements and detailed finishing. He also worked offshore in Australia in marine engineering, where precision, planning and practical problem solving were essential.
After returning to New Zealand and settling in Hawke’s Bay, Phil started Aspire Build to provide homeowners with a reliable and well managed building experience. He wanted clients to understand each stage of their project, feel confident in the work being completed and receive a finished result that suited their home and how they live.
Today, Phil remains closely involved in Aspire Build projects, bringing practical building knowledge, careful project oversight and pride in the finished work.
